"And behold, two men were conversing with him"
Luke 13:6
Dear Community of Saint
Joseph’s: Do you know how many
ministries we have here in our Community? Lots! And do you know in those
forty-eight ministries how many people give of their time and talent –hundreds
and hundreds. How about treasure? Look at our gifts to the Lord schedule in the
bulletin each week and recently also our giving to the Elevator Fund. How are
we doing? Fairly well. Contributing to our
parish is easily done through envelopes that are sent out during the year.
Also, interim envelopes can be sent to you before they are sent out on the
regular cycle. In addition, we have established the ability to accept donations
via electronic transfer and credit cards. Unless otherwise requested, envelopes
are sent to all registered parish members. So why is your Finance
Council filling this space this week? First, to say, thank you for your
stewardship. Stewardship means sharing your time, talent and treasure. We are
aware in these difficult economic times of the need for assistance in so many
places and we appreciate your sharing with us. Secondly, we want to encourage
you to remember Saint Joseph’s Catholic Community in your financial planning.
Do you have a plan, a will, a trust? We hope so, for many reasons. You might
recall this Council has sponsored four seminars in the last two years with an expert
in estate planning to share ideas on health directives, wills, trusts and more.
We will do this again in the near future. One more question; how
many of us have remembered our parish in our wills? What better way to share a
bit of what we have, than with the community that nurtures us week in and week
out with God’s Word, Food and Love. Please remember that Saint Joseph’s
provides for the community needs throughout the entirety of your life’s
journey. We truly appreciate your
prayerful and financial support as we provide for the future. Andy Armanino Parishioner
