"He put his fingers in his ears"
Mark 7:31
“Being Catholic: Yesterday, Today
and Tomorrow” Why are babies baptized during
Mass? Has the church’s view of sin changed? Just what is Catholic morality?
What is an “informed conscience” and what role does conscience play in one’s
faith life? These and many other questions will be discussed in a safe
environment during our next series of “Being Catholic” classes. Being Catholic: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow is a six week process for parishioners interested in deepening their
knowledge of faith. Being Catholic provides an in-depth exploration of topics like:
Faith, Jesus, Bible, Sacraments, Morality and Church. It is not a classroom lecture, but it is a group dynamic with
interesting presentations, discussions and readings. The adult faith formation team invites you to an opportunity to upgrade
another area of your life - your faith life - by enrolling in the class “Being
Catholic: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.” The class will be offered on six Tuesday evenings beginning September 8th
–Oct 13, 7 p.m. in Mary Room in the Church offices, ending with a
retreat: Saturday September 17th 8:30 a.m. – 1 pm.. . Here is what those who have taken the class have said: I found a few kindred spirits and some practice in
being patient with others who were at a different place in their faith journey. I enjoyed the opportunity to meet people and talk
openly about my faith. The class validated my faith and my approach to
being Catholic. It was good to know that
questioning is not wrong and that it
can deepen my faith and that we all have questions. I liked the diversity of small groups. It made me proud of my Catholic heritage and gave
me a better and deeper understanding of my Catholic Community. The most valuable,
informative, supportive program I have ever participated in. To register call the parish office at 475-8211 or
