This past year – from June 28th, 2009 through Monday, June 29th – we celebrated the Year of St. Paul as our Holy Father Pope Benedict invited us to do. Many of you participated in special prayer services, masses, bible study groups and other special activities to remember and rejoice in the richness of St. Paul’s writings.

 

This year, from Friday, June 19th (the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus) until June 18, 2010 we have been asked to celebrate the Year of the Priest in honor of St. John Vianney, patron of parish priests. Our Holy Father is most aware of the needs we priests have for the prayers and support of our people. During this year, we will be having various celebrations to honor and thank our priests for their dedicated ministry. I ask that you please keep us in your daily prayers particularly during this year under the patronage of St. John Vinney, the Cure of Ars.
